Teacher Training

Peace and Human Rights

You can only have a well educated people if you have high quality teaching.  This is why training teachers has always held a position of great importance in the development of  AIL as an organization. Teachers are trained by AIL and then receive follow up supervision and monitoring of progress. Teachers return for up to date seminar trainings to keep up with the latest in teaching theory.
Training of professionals is not the only form of training critical to the rebuilding of Afghan capacity. The Afghan people want to learn and to grow. They frequently ask AIL for training that goes beyond schooling in the basics of literacy or income generating skills.  They want to know how to improve their lives, their communities and their country. So AIL provides human rights training, emerging leaders training and training in peace.
The health of the Afghan people as a whole is improving not just through the provision of health care services but critically through the spread of knowledge about health to ordinary people. The people are willing to learn and to change old habits once they have been educated about disease, germs, viruses and how to stay healthy. AIL provides education to all clinic attendees and in depth health workshops.
Training and education are the key to sustainable improvement in Afghan society.
“ Women have the capacity - if you really give them the environment, if you really work with them and give them opportunity, they will blossom and they will flourish and they will be able to provide so much for the nation that the nation will go through transformation.”
