Healthcare Vision

AIL’s goal for Afghanistan is to create a healthy, self supporting and productive society. Healthcare is crucial to achieving that goal. The Afghan people need reliable high quality healthcare and  health education so they can be healthy, know how to care for their health and be able to achieve their potential.  A balanced society needs healthy people so that they can contribute economically  and children can be educated and grow up as independent and capable adults. The people need health care but they also need  health education so they can take care of themselves and stop the cycle of preventable illness which  drains families and communities.  AIL runs fixed clinics, outreach mobile clinics and  Community Health Worker Posts programs to treat patients with immediate illness, injury and preventive measures. In addition, all patients receive health education and AIL runs more indepth health workshops.
